Nach Einkleben der Pappschachteln in das Kastenunterteil wurden die Oberkanten mit einem schmalen grünen Papierstreifen beklebt. Märklin hat von Beginn an die Anzahl der Schachteln halbiert, was der Stabilität abträglich war.
